Open parking will not be permitted in reserved, disabled, service and business spaces, reserved zones, meters or parking garages.
Visitor or guests can make arrangements prior to their visit to have extended parking privileges. They should contact the department or the area involved, or the Office of Parking and Transportation.
Permits from the Office of Parking and Transportation are available from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and at other times from the University Police, 105 Nelson Smith Building.
If it is necessary for persons who purchase a permit to use other vehicles on an emergency basis, temporary permits must be obtained to continue their parking privileges. Prices of visitors permits are $3.00 per day, or $12.00 per week.
If parked in a metered space on campus, the meter must be paid. Meters are enforced 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Parking in the Bone Pay Lot and South University Street Garage pay lot is $.80 an hour for visitors. There is no overnight parking in the Bone Student Center pay lot and South University Street Garage pay lot. Violators risk being ticketed and towed.
Visitors who have business with the University may use meters, park in the Bone Student Center pay lot, or park on the first level of the South University Street garage for an hourly fee. Visitors who need extended parking privileges should contact Parking & Transportation.
Overnight scratch-off temporary permits are available for guests of residence hall students at a cost of $3.00 each. These permits are valid from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. in lots G-81 or G-86 and from 12 noon to 12 noon in lots S103, S104 and S105.
One-day scratch-off temporary permits are available for faculty, staff and University departments requesting parking arrangements for their guests at a cost of $3.00 each. The permit is valid in faculty/staff and commuter lots. The permit is valid in RED reserved spaces after 5:00 p.m. only. The permit is not valid in WHITE reserved spaces. The permit is not valid in meters or visitor pay lots. There is no overnight parking allowed with this permit.
RED faculty/staff and GREEN commuter lots, not including reserved spaces, have open parking from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., Monday through Friday and on weekends from 7:00 p.m. Friday to 4:00 a.m. Monday except during special events. This does not include hourly parking in the Bone Student Center pay lot or on the first level of the South University Street garage, metered parking, or reserved areas including BLUE storage lots, parking garages, business and service spaces.
