NOTICE TO 2009-2010 RESIDENCE HALL STUDENTS:
Parking permit application forms were mailed out at the end of May 2009 to returning residence hall students with a class rank of sophomore or above.
Freshman and transfer residence hall students will receive information at the end of July/first part of August on how to obtain their permits during move in week.
RETURNING RESIDENCE HALL STUDENTS NOTE: Your permits will be mailed to your residence hall mail box and will be there when you move in.
2009-2010 COMMUTER STUDENTS:
Commuter permit sales will start in July 2009. Please watch this site for announcements regarding the first date of sales. Permits must be purchased at our office at 709 N. Main St. Students must present their valid university ID card and know the license plate number of the vehicle that they will register with the permit. Payment in full is required at the time of purchase.
2009-2010 Faculty Staff Forms: The 2009-2010 faculty staff parking renewal forms were sent out to the campus community via e-mail in April 2009. The deadline for submission is Friday, June 12, 2009. Please contact our office if you have any questions on form completion.

Faculty Staff Renewal Form
The 2009-2010 Faculty/Staff Parking renewal form is now available for download. Please print, fill out, and return the form no later than Friday, June 12, 2009.
We want to provide as many transportation options to the campus community as possible. As part of these continuing efforts, ISU is now offering a free ride share matching service. PARKING RELATED CONSTRUCTION UPDATES LISTED BELOW:
SOUTH UNIVERSITY STREET GARAGE CONSTRUCTION UPDATE 7-2-09:
The South Chiller Plant construction that had closed University Street south of the temporary entrance has been completed. Easy access to the garage is once again available from Beaufort Street.
Notice – River City Construction will begin work on the ground level east bay of the original garage this Monday, July 6. The two-way traffic pattern will switch to the west bay of the original garage on Sunday afternoon July 5. The barricades and cones will be moved to the west side of the garage and that traffic pattern will need to be followed beginning Monday.
CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION UPDATE 6-15-09:
On Wednesday June 17, University Street will be closed between Dale and Osage. This closure is due to the installation of a water and sewer connection to the new S. Chiller Plant. This section of University St. may remain closed through the weekend of June 20 - 21 in the event of inclement weather. Access to the S. University St. parking garage will remain open and vehicles can travel on Dale St. to reach that access. Please note: Hale St., as of today, is closed. An additional notice will be sent when streets are re-opened.
TURNER HALL CONSTRUCTION: The Turner Hall lot will be partially closed during the renovation of the building. We anticipate that the east one third of the lot will be dedicated to the construction process. Parking access via College Ave will be maintained during the construction.

UPTOWN NORMAL CONSTRUCTION UPDATES 6-12-09:
DUE TO STREET CLOSINGS ASSOCIATED WITH CONSTRUCTION IN UPTOWN NORMAL, THE BLOOMINGTON-NORMAL PUBLIC TRANSIT SYSTEM WILL BE RELOCATING ITS NORTH ST / FELL AVE BUS TRANSFER CENTER ON FRIDAY, JUNE 12, 2009. THIS IS EXPECTED TO LAST FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. A TEMPORARY TRANSFER CENTER WILL BE LOCATED WEST OF THE BONE STUDENT CENTER PAY LOT ON UNIVERSITY STREET. QUESTIONS CAN BE DIRECTED TO THE BLOOMINGTON-NORMAL PUBLIC TRANSIT OFFICE AT (309) 828-9833.
EFFECTIVE JUNE 15, 2009 FELL AVENUE BETWEEN COLLEGE AVE AND BEAUFORT ST WILL BE CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC AND REMAIN CLOSED FOR APPROXIMATELY THREE WEEKS FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF THE FELL AVE / NORTH ST INTERSECTION. DURING THIS PERIOD NORTH ST BETWEEN SCHOOL ST AND FELL AVE WILL ALSO BE CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFIC. THIS CLOSURE RESTRICTS THROUGH TRAFFIC AND WILL NOT AFFECT ACCESS TO THE JULIAN HALL PARKING AREA.
CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION UPDATES:
Beginning on or about July 1, 2008, the following traffic changes will be made around Metcalf Grade School and Fairchild Hall.
Construction planned on central and south campus will result in a temporary loss of approximately 100 parking spaces. Parking and Transportation appreciates the patience of its users and offers the following considerations :
